What is it?
Create, Share & Learn in this modo material preset contest running once a month this, November, December & January. Your objective is to create a unique collection of 5 theme based material presets & share them on the Luxology Asset sharing site. At the end of each month, 3 winners will be announced based on the Share site voting. Over $3000 in prizes including 9b Kits, Image Collections, Magazine Subscriptions, Software & more via these AWESOME sponsors.

How does it Work?
-Create a group of 5 material presets using Luxology's modo 501 full commercial version or the trial version.
-The presets need to be within the required theme of the month stated at the start of each contest cycle.
-The presets MUST only contain original images/materials to be considered. All submitted images must be Square, seamless and above 1000pixel in both dimensions.
-Users must use the 9ball Preset scene for thumbnail creation
-Voting will be done using the current Asset Sharing site rating system and winners announced 2 weeks after submission deadline which is the end of each month.

Where do I start? (November Theme)
Start by thinking about this month's theme. Holidays. They're just around the corner and everyone's got them. Think about what makes the holiday textures different and try to come up with 5 surfaces that spark interest and fascination. Then grab your modo and start cranking them out. Once you're done, upload, tag and submit them. You have till the end of November for the Holiday theme. We will announce the subsequent themes in their respective months.

What do I get?
First Place gets: SLIK, Arroways Texture Collection, Antangeo Balancer Software, 3D World Magazine 1 Year Subscription & a Dosch Design Model Pack
Second Place gets: PAD, SES 2, Epictor People Collections
Third Place gets: SES 1, Epictor Silhouette Collections

What do you get?
We get a bunch of presets that everyone can share and learn from. The community can use these preset commercially and non-commercially to get projects done. Its a sense of giving and receiving that made modo's community great!

Disclaimers and notes:
-Please try to be original in your entries. Get inspired by anything, but make sure you are using your own user-created material, images and presets. The point of this contest is to actually learn not just win stuff.
-Make sure your presets are created at a real world scale and you created them with that application in mind. They will be tested on real world projects. If they don't work, the vote will be low.
-Make sure to cast your vote on other users' creations just as they would vote for yours. You can't vote for your own.
-Don't forget to tag your entries upon submission to the share site.
-Prizes are not transferable. If you don't want yours, they will be given to the next person inline. Which is totally cool.
-If the Final votes have a tie, we will settle this in a death match preset show down. 10 minutes creation time, new tie breaker theme, 1 preset. Best preset via vote wins.
-No inflammatory remarks or images accepted. We're here to celebrate holidays, families and friends. Lets keep it nice.
-Make sure to create a thread in the community thread for this contest in order to show off your progress, inspiration and process. We're sure others will appreciate it and get inspired by it. It also helps you to figure issues out.
